Wealthy drug manufacturer John Rogers' son Slim unwittingly becomes addicted to drugs when he is injected with morphine following an alcoholic binge. Slim becomes an addict and impulsively kills his father. During his imprisonment, his sister, who is married to Rogers, Sr.'s partner Binkley, becomes addicted to cocaine. To finance her habit, she becomes a prostitute and leaves her husband, walking the streets with their young son. She is arrested for prostitution and exiled from New York City, but she returns to attend a cocaine party. Mrs. Binkley eventually finds her way to a retail drug store that caters to addicts and encounters her recently paroled brother, who has been shot by a gangland associate. They both die and when Binkley is summoned to the drug store by his son, he discovers that the druggist has been selling Binkley-Rogers products.
