Set in the North of England in the early 1970s, Eddy and Tommo are two red blooded, penniless teenagers. If they are to win the affection of the local female talent, they need transport because everybody knows if youve got the right ride, you can pull the birds!A spate of unsolved neighbourhood burglaries spark the idea to rob the local supermarket and so over the summer, with the help of a gang of colourful cohorts, Eddy and Tommos heist is planned and executed. The outcome is not without its pitfalls and so the lessons of youth are perhaps not as easily learned just by the acquisition of a shiny set of wheels.The film is an affectionate, amusing look at a time before video games and iPods were fashionable, when all you really needed back then, was a Fizzy!
