Set at the Tom Savini Special Make-up Effects School and in and around the Monongahela Valley steel town of Monessen, Pennsylvania, the series is the story of a young student who becomes involved with a sequence of murders which he takes to be the work of a sinister neighbor who suddenly appears on the scene. The story follows the student as he pursues the supposed killer and tries to unravel the truth of the situation. It is a dark tale tinged with irony.
