Claude, a Tennessee moonshiner, is killed by Jarvis, a big city gangster, who offers Claude's girl friend, Lorilee, a fancy wardrobe, money, and fame if she will work at his nightclub. Later, Lorilee vacations in Daytona and begins an affair with Mitch, one of Jarvis' henchmen. Returning home, Lorilee meets Rachel, who introduces her to marijuana and LSD. Jarvis discovers Lorilee and Mitch making love; he kills Mitch and beats Lorilee. At one of Jarvis' bookie parlors, Lorilee kills Jarvis' moll, Sharon, during a heated argument and then informs the police of the gangster's illegal activities.
