Lee, a seductive young girl, is the mistress of Howard, debonair man-about-town, but she declares to him that she wishes to marry Kendall Phillips, and he gracefully bows out, wishing her luck. Then Lee's naive but attractive young sister, Betty, arrives, and Phillips becomes infatuated with her. In spite of Lee's attempts to separate them and win back his affections, Phillips and Betty become engaged, and in a jealous rage, Lee tells Betty that she has been his mistress. Heartbroken, Betty announces Lee's engagement to Phillips at a party, and the next morning he bursts into Lee's apartment, demanding an explanation; she confesses and sends him to Betty, then telephones Howard, with whom she has previously planned a European trip.
