| Rosemary is absolutely distraught, and David wants to help her, but he has no clue what's going on. She finally tells him that she thinks she has cancer, and that she scheduled an appointment to go to a cancer specialist in London but left at the last minute. Rosemary wants to live blissfully ignorant of her hypothetical cancer; David implores her to think of their child. He phones for a doctor and Rosemary will be admitted to hospital first thing in the morning.Wilf feels sick over Sheila's decision to abort her child, and he plans to let her know how he feels before the abortion occurs. Jill and Stan, who have tried very hard for a baby of their own, discuss the option of adopting Sheila's baby. Stan does not want to take his sister's baby, because he believes that as long as they raise it, Sheila will try to "be its mother," even if she signs the rights over to them.Diane comes into the Motel drunk with a friend of hers, and Cliff chases him off.
