Attack of the Cybermen: Part One
Two workers inspect sewer tunnels under Fleet Steet in London when they come across a section they believe should not exist. David (Stephen Wale) goes back to retrace his steps but seems to disappear. The other worker looks for him only to be attacked and presumable killed by an unseen menace. The Doctor (Colin Baker) is full of manic energy, repairing numerous systems on the TARDIS including the chameleon circuit that allows the machine to change shape as required and that no previous doctor has been able to repair. Peri (Nicola Bryant) thinks he is over doing it, she is worried he is jumping in too soon before his mind has settled properly after the recent regenerationIn London, Mr Lyton (Maurice Colbourne) pulls car up in front of a building and explains to three other occupants, Griffiths (Brian Glover) Payne (James Beckett) and Russell (Terry Molloy) discuss plans to steal a huge quantity of diamondsThe Doctor decides Peri is the one with issues and decides she needs a holiday. A malfunction of the TARDIS systems causes concern for the Doctor, until he runs tests confirmed by the external view he knows they are in the Solar System, somewhere near Halleys Comet in the year 1985Mr Lyton takes the men to a pit in a junkyard that hes dug that will lead to the sewer system and ultimately to the bank they are to rob. As they go to enter, Lyton activates some equipment hidden in a cupboard The TARDIS receives what turns out to be a distress signal activated by Lyton. The Doctor is both concerned to receive such a signal but to also receive it from Earth in 1985. Following the signal the TARDIS arrives at the junkyard where Lyton entered the sewer. It is also the same junkyard featured in the first ever episode of Dr Who aired in 1963.Two strange looking police officers take an interest in the Doctors activities as he searches for the source of the signal.Meanwhile in the sewer Lyton and his crew begin work their way through the sewer systems towards the bank. From behind they hear noises to suggest they are being followed. Payne goes back to see who is behind them only to be killed in a similar fashion to the inspectors during the opening scene. The Doctor follows the distress signal to the Lyton entrance to the sewers where he is surprised by the strange policemen. Over powering them he restrains them with their handcuffs and moves on into the tunnel. The criminals arrive at the correct spot in the sewer to and begin breaking down a wall that will give them access to the bank. Lyton wonders where Payne is till he sees a figure approaching down the tunnel. Griffith opens fire on the figure (now revealed to be a Cyberman) Lyton takes the gun from him as Russell, seeing an opportunity, makes a run for it back down the tunnelThe wall of the tunnel suddenly slides away to expose a Cybermen base. When asked how he was aware of the base, Lyton explains hes been monitoring the Cybermen communications with a ship hidden on the far side of the moon.Lyton then explains to the Cyber Lieutenant (Brian Orrell) he is an alien mercenary, and wants to work for the Cybermen as they take over Earth. Lyton is told the Cyber Controller (Michael Kilgarriff) back on Telos can decide his fate.On Telos we see a human work parties under the watchful eye of Cybermen guards dig and bury explosives in the surface. Two of the workers Stratton(Jonathan David) and Bates(Michael Attwell) make a run for it, killing a Cybermen in the process by decapitating him. Before they can retrieve the head another cyberman destroys it. The pair regroup and realize the breakout has failed because they need a third human and a Cyberman head to break into and steal the ship needed to leave the planet before it is blown up. Their only chance now is to somehow break into the Cybermen's cityUnknown to the humans, the Cybermen Controller actually expected the two humans to escape and has laid a trap for them. He wants to gain a better understanding of the human mind and how it works in a stressful situations. In the sewer the Doctor is attacked by Russell. Once things calm slightly he and the Doctor compare their findings, including the fact Phillips is an undercover cop. He also tells the Doctor tha Lyton seems to have no existence on Earth beyond the last few weeks. The Doctor now realizes the situation is far worse than he thought. At the base the Cyber lieutenant discovers he is dealing with a Time Lord and dispatches a patrol to capture the TARDIS as soon as possible, and if they encounter the Doctor to also restrain him without injury. On Telos Stratton and Bates get closer to the city, they encounter a Cyber Scout and behead it as required. Bates instructs Stratton to clean it out so he can wear the head as a disguise and enter the city as a Cyberman accompanied by a prisoner. The Cyber Controller becomes concerned by the killing of the Cyber Scout that (to him) seems well outside the behavior predictedOn their way back to the TARDIS Phillips destroys a scout in the tunnel. The Cyber Lieutenant becomes alarmed and decides the base has to be evacuated; he orders all Cybermen to head for the Doctor's craft and takes Lyton and Griffiths with them.At the TADIS the Doctor Peri and Phillips are ambushed by the Cybermen. Phillips kills one before he in turn is killed. The Cyber Lietenant then orders the death of PeriEND OF PART ONEChapman_glen@yahoo.com více

Attack of the Cybermen: Part Two
The Doctor intervenes by setting the self destruct mechanism on the TARDIS. The Cyber Lieutenant gives his word and to the Doctors horror the word of the Cyber controller who he thought previously killed that Peri will be allowed to live.Thee Doctor now realizes the Cybermen have time travel and he agrees to fly to Telos. After he is locked away in a storage area Lyton then tells him about the time ship that crashed on Telos.Telos warns the Cybermen on the TARDIS they have intercepted a message from the Doctor warning the Time Lord of events. Lyton for unknown reasons slips the Doctor a laser lance, before discussing the history of the Cybermen. They arrived on Telos after their own planet Mondas was destroyed during an encounter with Earth in 1986. The Cybermen destroyed the Cyrons who were the original inhabitants of the planet and acknowledged experts on refrigeration systems. The Cybermen wanted somewhere to hibernate because of the low levels of the energy systemsA Cyberman interrupts the conversation and orders Peri to come with him while sending the Doctor to the console room. On Telos, a rouge Cybermen comes out of hibernation and runs amok. The Cyber Controller orders him killed then orders all remaining hibernation units to be destroyed. Although they are still finding Cybermen alive in the tombs, the cost of resources is too high. The Tardis arrives on Telos, and the Cybermen Lieutenant relizes they have landed in the wrong part of the facility. All around them they can smell rotting flesh despite the cold. The Doctor deducts it is the smell of dying Cybermen. Cyber Control arranges for technicians to move the TARDIS to the control. Another rouge breaks free and destroys the Cyberman guarding Peri. Peri runs and is in turn ambushed by a Cyberman before being saved by a pair of CryonsThe Doctor is taken to a side room and detained. There he encounters Flast (Faith Brown) who explains she is one of the few surviving Cryons and they have been trying to wage a secret war on the Cybermen till she was captured. She goes on to explain the Cybermen are struggling to master the timeship, but once they do, to go back in time and prevent Mondas from being destroyed in 1986.Elsewhere Rost (Sarah Berger) and Varne (Sarah Greene) introduce themselves to Peri and go on to tell a similar story to Flast and the understanding they consider they no longer have their own planet. They further explain the Cybermans plan and that Lyton is actually working for themAs Stratton and Bates get close to the ship a trap door opens in the ground. The men duck for cover as they see Lyton and Griffiths emerge. The two men tell Bates they are actually looking for them, and shows them device the Cryons gave him to help steal the timeship.Flast then shows the Doctor a canisters of vastial, a very unstable element, that will explode once it gets warm enough. The Doctot realizes hes been handed a way to destroy the time ship and slow the Cybermen down.Bates Stanto Griffiths and Lyton reach the timeship, however as they enter the control room Lyton is captured by the Cybermen. The Doctor uses some of the vastial to destroy the Cyberman guarding the door. In the control center Lyton is questioned by the Cyber Controller who eventually tortures him till he reveals what he knows about the Cryons. Once this is done Cryton is put in one of the converters. The Cyber controller also discovers the Doctor has escaped and that Peri and the rest of the Cryons are on the move.Flast, knowing the Cybermen will come and question her. In an act of defiance she sets a laser lance and begins heating vastial, knowing the element will begin a chain reaction that will also kill her along with the CybermenPeri, the Doctor meet at the TARDIS. He knows a number are still inside and sets of a decoy from a destroyed Cyberman to lure them out. Meanwhile the Cybermen arrive at Flasts cell convinced she aided the Doctor. They killer exposing her to warm air, causing her blood to boil.Griffiths Staton and Bates arrive at the timeship but are ambushed and killed by the Cybermen and killed. At the TARDIS the Doctor sees two cybermen emerge and guns them down. The Doctors plan works and a furious gun battle breaks out. Regaining control of the TARDIS, he is about to leave the planet when Peri tells him about Lytons sacrifice. The Doctor decides he needs to go and rescue the man, by flying the TARDIS to the control room and trying to extract the Lyton from the converter. The Cyber Controller interrupts them only to be stopped when Lyton breaks free. Ultimately the Doctor destroys all the Cybermen in the control room. Once the fighting finishes the Doctor checks on Lyton who is now dead. In the tomb, the vastial reaches critical temperature and explodes destroying the tomb and control area just as the TARDIS leaves. The Doctor expresses regret of not figuring Lyton out earlier and doing more to prevent his deathTHE END OF PART 2Chapman_glen@yahoo.com více

The Two Doctors: Part 1
The Time Lords have dispatched the Doctor (in his 2nd incarnation) along with Jamie to a space research station to see Dastari, the Director of Projects, about dissuading two of his scientists from further experimentations on time travel that are rattling the fabric of time. The Doctor is further alarmed over Dastari's latest genetic experiments, boosting the intelligence of a bestial and carnivorous humanoid race called the Androgum. This secondary concern soon proves the greater problem: the Androgum have sided with the Sontarans to take over the station. The station soon falls and the Doctor is captured and tortured. As his life becomes threatened, elsewhere the Doctor (in his 6th incarnation) passes out while on holiday with Peri - his very existence jeopardized. více

The Two Doctors: Part 2
With carnage and decay all about the space station, Doctor No. 6 and Peri continue to avoid the automated defense system trying to kill them, but there's also something alive lurking about with an eye on them as well. Evidence suggests the Time Lords are responsible for all this, but the Doctor refuses to believe it. He may be wrong, and he also fears a pinhole has been poked into the bubble that is the universe, with total and unstoppable annihilation to follow. Far away, Doctor No. 2 is about to be dissected by the Sontarans and the Androgum in order to find the symbiotic nuclei that makes time travel for Time Lords possible. více
