| 195. | | Job's Worth | | After a late night, working on his blood pressure device, Al only wants to go back to bed but has to face his first job review with Daniel. He also nods off when anxious Shona Ingle drags her husband Aiden,an unwilling patient,to see him. Aiden has been suffering from head-aches which make him act irrationally but cannot see that he is ill. Al suspects a brain tumour and interrupts the review to make a mercy dash and help Shona get Aiden to hospital. His prompt action not only gain him the thanks of the Ingles but the respect of Daniel for putting his patients' welfare first. více |

| 196. | | Quality of Life | | Having been given the all-clear from cancer wealthy investment banker Paul Levello feels that he wants to do something different with his life and resorts to giving away huge sums of money not only to charities but to homeless drinks who abuse his generosity. His wife Grace is appalled when he confesses to her that she too has no place in his new life. Chris,overhearing a conversation between Emma and Heston,finally discovers that his father intends suicide and turns on his mother,accusing her of giving Sam the idea and terming her a selfish bitch. Gordon Clement starts talking to Mrs Tembe about how much he misses his late wife but cannot draw her out on being widowed herself. více |

Simone's sick husband Ray believes she is obsessive but ultimately takes action whilst Karen and Rob persuade Mickey's friend and colleague Karl to come forward and say what really happened,despite the bullying foreman Melling. Kevin tells Howard he wants to go on a course to specialise in cardiology but a letter from Julia to say she wants to withdraw her money puts funding in doubt. Chris finally comes to see that euthanasia was Sam's idea and not Emma's but swears he will not let it happen and asks her to dissuade Sam. více |

Edith's clumsy efforts to interfere alienate Rory whilst Heston finds Olivia reasonable and has to intervene when Edith attempts to sabotage her son's date. Emma watches apprehensively as Sam plans his trip to the Swiss euthanasia clinic and Zara returns to register her disapproval of Howard buying out Julia's share in the partnership. více |

However she gets the last word when she announces that she is coming back to work at the surgery. více |

She is initially reticent about her true motive until Emma is called in and it transpires that he is HIV+ and is knowingly infecting women. Gordon invites Mrs Tembe to a candle-lit dinner,an evening she finds unexpectedly charming whilst Al asks Jas round for darts practice,hopeful that they mat become more than colleagues. více |

| 202. | | D-Day | | Visiting her doctor Zara at the surgery heavily-pregnant Aleesha is shocked to learn that her boyfriend Marlon,Daniel's patient,has a sexually transmitted disease and accuses him of infidelity. Zara and Daniel argue over the patients and end up airing their dirty linen in public,leading to Marlon making a complaint about them. Howard can barely contain his delight at Zara's anger. Chris takes Sam out for the day but it ends in a trip to hospital when an over confident Sam falls out of his wheelchair. více |

Some years earlier he had been accused of abducting a teen aged girl and now another girl has gone missing. Jimmi decides to investigate but is surprised by what he finds. Meanwhile Karen persuades Rob to try out line dancing with her and Sam is released from hospital but still determined to end his life despite his family's opposition. více |

Elsewhere both Al's attempt to come on to Jas and the Hollins' first night at a line-dancing session end in disaster. více |

Zara makes sure everybody knows how childish she thinks it is and she and Howard end up sniping at each other. Then a prison officer arrives looking for a dangerous escaped convict - though he is not what he seems. At least events lead to Zara and Howard calling a truce whilst the evening brings out the heroine in Mrs Tembe ,increasing Gordon's admiration for her. více |

It turns out that they are a couple and,against Heston's advice,Kevin intervenes. After witnessing one of Max's rages he persuades Edie to leave him but she is easily tempted by Max's promises to change. Meanwhile the animosity between Zara and Howard leads Heston to suggest dissolving the partnership whilst,following his faux pas,Al keeps out of Jas's way. více |

Aware that Gordon wants more than friendship Mrs Tembe hides from him whilst Heston gets Zara to confess her hang-ups about Daniel and Howard suggests she try to be more reasonable about them. více |

Afterwards she confesses that she has split with her husband,supposedly abroad on business,as he was opposed to their having children but fortunately her friend Mavis intervenes to reconcile them. Gordon asks Mrs Tembe for a date but Heston's efforts to offer positives to Sam are wasted. více |

Zara surprises both Howard by agreeing to his being a partner and Daniel in asking his advice about their son. více |

He sends them out to buy an Indian take-away during which he time he sends for Howard and gives him his blessing to go out with Emma after his death. Mrs Tembe is unwilling to tell Karen about her date with Gordon,knowing that she is a gossip,and is angry with her after being teased. However Gordon rings and asks her out to lunch,assuring her that he will be discreet. Rob joins D.I. Collier to investigate the death of a homeless woman and learns a lesson in disappointment after the suspect he had tried to help proves to have been the killer. více |

When she tells him she loves him he is shocked but her mother Liz sees the journal and accuses Kevin of paedophilia. Jas and Daniel intervene to show Liz that her strict treatment of Sophie has driven her into a fantasy world. Howard tells Emma of Sam's conversation with him but denies killing him. After Emma is interviewed again by DI Collier she returns home to a shocking confession from Chris. více |

Collier but only to tell her to leave the family alone. Mrs Tembe's skill at painting Easter eggs once more raises her in Gordon's opinion though Barbara mistakenly believes that she is the object of the vicar's affections. After some deliberation Mrs Tembe finally allows herself to be publicly named as Gordon's inspiration. více |

Emma tries to work out ways to suggest that Sam took his own life with no help from Chris whilst Daniel is jealous when Dutch,an old flame of Zara,reappears. více |

| 219. | | Tea for Three | | At the local hospital to give a talk Jimmi gets stuck in a lift during a power cut with Carrie Garland, a woman whose faith has carried her through following the death of her son but is very damning about her unreliable husband. After they are freed Jimmi learns that Carrie's husband had recently died and he races to stop her from killing herself. Meanwhile Daniel feels pleased with himself as he appears to have won Zara back from Dutch whilst Emma manages to convince almost everybody that Sam had the strength to administer his own fatal dose. Heston,however,is not so sure. více |

| 220. | | Crossing the Line | | Zara's friend Cate is distraught to find a strange piece of jewellery at her house and believes her husband Ben is having an affair. In fact he is a cross-dresser and,whilst Cate is initially shocked,Zara's sarcastic attitude helps reconcile the couple,Cate ticking Zara off for her negativity towards men. Chris is not keen to attend Sam's funeral but Mandy persuades him to go,telling him he will otherwise regret it,and he delivers a heart-felt oration before supporting his mother. Emma however turns Howard away but is relieved when D.I. Collier tells her there is insufficient evidence to prosecute. Gordon and Mrs Tembe get on first name terms and share their first proper kiss. více |

| 221. | | Camper Van of Love | | Made redundant from the fire service Phil Malcolm fills his empty days doing up his old camper van,to the annoyance of his wife Tracey and interfering Colin from next door. When Phil collapses Heston discovers that his obsessive behaviour can be traced back to a distressing incident when he failed to save a young girl from a car crash. This reconciles him with Tracey as a result of which she is happy to plan a trip in the van with him. Meanwhile Emma becomes bitter with Sam for what he coerced Chris into doing,leading to a breakdown in the truce with her son whilst Daniel enjoys afternoon delight with Zara but feels used when she refuses to change his access days to Joe. více |
